What is the Workplace Harassment Protocol?
The workplace harassment protocol is a set of measures designed to prevent, detect, and address harassment behaviors, whether sexual, based on sex, orientation, gender, or moral grounds. Why is it important?
The obligation to implement a workplace harassment protocol is established in the Workers’ Statute (Article 4) and in Organic Law 3/2007 on effective equality between women and men (Articles 45 and 48). Failure to comply with this regulation may result in considerable sanctions:
Minor Infractions
Fines ranging from 7,501 to 30,000 €.
Serious Infractions
Fines ranging from 30.001 to 120.005 €.
Very serious Infractions
Fines ranging from 120.006 to 225.018 €.
